This blog is for students and parents who want to have up-to-date information on my 11 standard English class. On this site, you will find homework posted on a weekly basis, as well as any explanation of longer assignments. There may be opportunities for students to post their ideas and writing as well. I have been teaching for twenty-two years, the last seven of those years have been at Gorham. I have taught in public schools all over the United States, including schools in Los Angeles, Louisiana, New York City, Boston. I received my undergraduate degree in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I received my Masters in Education from the New School University in New York City. Most recently, I received my Masters of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from the Stonecoast Program at the Universtiy of Southern Maine in July, 2008. I have been published in venues ranging from the New York Times to Good Housekeeping and Modern Bride. I am a freelance writer and editor and I am currently working on a memoir about motherhood and adoption.
