Your only assignment over vacation is to continue reading your independent reading book. It is due on Friday, May 1st. I'll hand you out your assignment for the book when you return.

Homework for week of 4/6
This is the last week of the quarter. You received progress reports today on your status. If you have work to make up, it may be possible to receive partial credit, but you will need to come after school. I am available Monday and Thursday afternoon. Please see below for weekly work:
Final draft career paper is due on FRIDAY! Please include:
- yellow final draft rubric
- all sections of final draft, well edited with headers and MLA format, including citations
- works cited page
- interview typed up

Second half of rough draft of career paper is due on Friday. Look at comments from first half and write with those comments in mind.
For Tuesday: Education, Training and Personality-bring to class completed!
Works Cited page will be completed in class. Please hand in by end of period.
Block day: period 3 misses this due to SAT augmentation. You will be expected to write A Day in the Life of... and your conclusion for homework.

Deadlines for week of 3/23
We continue to work on our career project. Here are the deadlines you should keep in mind:
Block day: rough draft of the following sections are due: introduction, history and background and salary, growth and demand. You should have the introduction and history and background sections completed BEFORE you come to class on block day. The salary section will be done in class.
Vocabulary quiz on JAC/TRACT words will be on block day.
Deadlines for next week:
Interviews must be typed up by Monday, 3/30.
Second half of rough draft (Education and Training, A Day in the Life of and Conclusion) due on block day.
Works Cited page will be done in class on Tuesday.

Due Tuesday, 3/17: Read all your print sources and produce 20-30 notecards with FACTS and QUOTES to support the areas of your research project, including:

homework week of March 2
We are beginning work on our career project. Due to the snow days, we are a bit behind schedule. For Monday, March 9th: Have topic selected and at least two reliable sources printed out and photocopied. In addition, please have your notecards for that source filled out. See handouts on overview, research tips and note taking.
